Students will learn the reason why the North West Mounted Police were created and sent to patrol the plains. Hands-on activities and marching drills will recreate a day in the life of the NWMP from the 1870′s and 1880′s at Canada’s first NWMP post. Each student will take home their own NWMP pillbox hat.
